Hello all. We’ll be posting a more comprehensive round up of what we’ve been up to lately in the form of a newsletter which will be out soon. Suffice to say, for now, that we’ve been working a lot and not riding much, but that will all change in another month or so once the weather settles and it warms up a little in New Zealand.
Many of you reading this have been loyal followers and contributors during our 45,500km bikepacking journey through the Americas, so we thought you might like to hear about the creative projects that Hana has initiated since we returned to New Zealand: Cycling Caps and Masks.
Under the name BeCycledNZ, Hana has been very busy the past few weeks refining patterns, prototyping and sewing up a great range of cycling caps, which she is selling on her Etsy shop, but you can also check out the full range here on this site. She takes custom orders too, so if there’s something you want, sing out, or use the contact form on this page.
All proceeds are going into our bikepacking fund for a return to South America when the time is right and the uncertainty we all face has settled. Caps are priced from NZ$48 and ship worldwide.
Masks are becoming increasingly in demand all over the world, and their uptake is even slowly picking up in NZ where we have been blessed with near elimination of the virus and very low case numbers. In a covid-world, masks are something we are all going to have to get used to, especially if we are going to travel.
After a lot of research, Hana has settled on a particular mask pattern that suits active people and fits a big range of face shapes. She’s making them in three sizes and over 50 different colours and print patterns. They’re washable, reusable and great for taking on bike adventures.
See BeCycledNZ on Facebook to view all colours and place orders via DM, or use the contact form on this page. Masks are NZ$22 + postage
