Cycling Caps by Hana Black

BeCycledNZ cycling caps is the recent creation of bikepacker Hana Black. Having cycled over 45,000km from the Arctic Ocean in Alaska to Patagonia on a mountain bike over the last four years her trip was unceremoniously cut short just 2,500km from reaching El Fin del Mundo (Ushuaia) by Covid-19.

Now back in her home country of New Zealand to ‘ride out’ the pandemic, her sewing talents are being put to work stitching caps for cyclists and everyone who likes true adventure.

Caps are made from a mix of new and upcycled materials including funky cotton prints, lightweight canvas, drill and repurposed denim jeans. Note that as each cap is cut by hand the print placement may vary slightly from that shown. Upcycled materials may also vary in colour due to the range colours and fading in used jeans and other materials available. Every cap will be unique!

We’re using a clever mask pattern that seals well around the nose and fits faces of different shapes.
