Last Sunday we took a day off from the mission of van hunting and climbed at Cheakamus Canyon – on the highway to Whistler. There’s nothing like the feeling of turning up at new crag for the first time: sampling the style of the climbing, the type of holds and the texture of the rock – sussing out potential onsights and feeling like a kid in a candy store. Pictured is Magda Kosior on a classic 5.11c on the Toxic Lichen wall, and below Michael JP Hall on the tricky 12c Fleeing Heifer. Check out the set on Flickr here.
looks lovely, hopefully many more great crags to follow
Hi Mark Hannah
Excellent adventures, long may they continue.
Looks warmer than Welly is right now.
